The term Savin Hill is from an event that happen almost over 30 years ago. A group of young guys from South Boston chased a black boy down the subway tracks and stabbed him. This was during the time when busing was a real big issue. If you check the Police blotter, you will find that Savin Hill is one of the safer areas in the City of Boston.
